Learn How to Blues Dance

There are weekly classes on Fridays at our dance and a weekly progressive series every Wednesday in Albuquerque, NM. There is usually a 1 to 2 week break between each series. During this time we will have special classes that anyone can take. The Weds classes are currently at the Tangoxchange and runs from 7:30PM to 9PM.

Periodically we will also have Blues dance workshops in New Mexico. Local or national instructors are hired to teach these fun educational classes. In addition, we have private lessons for individuals and groups. Your best bet to stay on top of everything is to join our newsletter and our Facebook group.

Blues Dance Progressive Series

Getting low with low-downs!

Blues 101 Progressive Series is a set of classes designed to teach the finer details of Blues dancing. Each series contains four classes and runs every Wednesday @ 7:30PM for four weeks. Typically, our classes average around 1.5 – 2 hours in length. Progressive series are a fun way to learn Blues dancing without the pressure of going too fast. Our Blues dance classes are kept intentionally small. We feel it is the best way to learn: smaller classes with more attention from instructors, better classroom involvement, and a stronger sense of community. With this in mind, if you are interested in attending one of our Blues progressive series, it is best to contact us sooner than later, so we can guarantee you a spot for the beginning of the series.

WHAT IS A PROGRESSIVE SERIES?

There are four classes to each Blues dance series. Each class builds upon the material learned in the previous class. Consequently, there is significantly more time to develop good technique, practice, and build muscle memory.

Blues Dance Workshops

There will be multiple workshops covering a wide range of levels: from Blues 101 (Beginner) all the way to Blues 400+ (Advanced). Each workshop typically runs 1-2 days and will have multiple themes covering different aspects of Blues Dancing: everything from the ABCs to Physics to Art to Math. Our workshops are kept intentionally small. We feel it is the best way to learn: smaller classes with more attention from instructors, better classroom involvement, and a stronger sense of community. With this in mind, if you are interested in attending one of our workshops, it is best to contact us sooner than later, so we we can guarantee you a spot in our workshop.

For those outside of the Albuquerque, New Mexico area that would like to attend the workshop but can’t because of not being in close vicinity, we travel! We can set up a very affordable Blues workshop for your group; contact us now so we can set it up!
